This is a site for the community of JETs who live in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan.

We all share with each other the English we come across from our students through the course of a normal day, from the hilarious to the incomprehensibly mangled to the surprisingly heart-warming. They’re those little gems, hidden in a stack of tedious marking, that can brighten your day. They’re those sentences said in class that catch you completely off guard and have you chuckling for days. They’re all those things that have you reaching for your iPhone to snap a picture and update your status.

The idea for this site is to create a kind of central repository for these stories we tell each other. Think engrish.com, but with a specific focus. The hope is that this will be a place to come to for a bit of levity on a bad day.
